Greeget.com. James Harden Leads the Rockets Stand in Position with the Warriors. James Harden appeared to dominate in the fourth game between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors, Monday night, May 6 2019, local time.
Playing for 40 minutes, Harden packed double-double, 38 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists from 13/29 shots (45 percent). The record made the Rockets close the game which was held at the Toyota Center, Houston, Texas, United States, with a 112-108 (2-2) victory.
The Rockets were left behind in the first quarter. However, Mike D’Antoni’s team turned superior in the rest of the game. In fact, in the third quarter, the Rockets had the advantage of up to 17 points which became their biggest advantage.
The effort of the Warriors to chase can only cut the distance to three points. Two tripoin experiments by Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry in the last 11 seconds did not meet the target until the Rockets breezed with victory.
Outside of Harden, P.J. Tucker also took on an important role especially as D’Antoni dropped the squad without a flashlight in the second half. Tucker played 42 minutes in total or the longest for the Rockets to score double, 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Eric Gordon became the second top score for the Rockets with 20 points. Chris Paul followed with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists. While Austin Rivers, who started the game from the bench, completed the list of scorers with double digits after packing 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Kevin Durant still faithfully led the Warriors as the top scorer with 34 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Stephen Curry did score 30 points, but he is still quite stuck on tripoin with 4/14. Draymond Green posted 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists while Klay Thompson closed the list with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Tripoin is indeed a big problem for the Warriors in this game. They were only able to enter 8/33 shots (24 percent) while the Rockets managed to enter their 17/50 tripoin (34 percent). The next game will be held at Oracle Arena on Thursday morning, Indonesian time.
